Lean 3

Lean Mobility Corporation (Headquarters: Toyota City, Aichi Prefecture; CEO: Takehiro Taninaka; hereinafter "the Company") has achieved a cumulative funding of 4.6 billion yen through new fundraising*, becoming the largest funding scale for a domestic vehicle manufacturing startup**. This has enabled us to reach a crucial milestone towards the mass production of the urban compact EV RideRoid "Lean3".

We have completed the vehicle body and parts design with maximum consideration for productivity and cost efficiency, establishing a refined exterior and interior design and optimized parts layout that reflect these considerations. Furthermore, with the selection of most parts suppliers, we have begun manufacturing mass production molds. Simultaneously, plans for an efficient assembly process in Taiwan are steadily progressing. The image above shows the latest mass production structure of Lean3.

  • * New fundraising amounts to 1 billion Taiwan dollars ** According to our research

Based on these developments, we will unveil the Lean3 vehicle at the "JAPAN MOBILITY SHOW 2024" and conduct a special driving event at Haneda Innovation City in November.

Furthermore, in pursuit of realizing innovative urban mobility, we are initiating collaborations with diverse B2B and B2G partners ahead of B2C introduction. As a first step in working with local governments, we have begun a partnership with Toyota City, Aichi Prefecture.

These initiatives are solid stepping stones towards the market introduction of Lean3 and demonstrate our strong commitment to realizing a next-generation mobility society.

Comprehensive Partnership with Toyota City, Aichi Prefecture

As an example of collaboration with local governments, we are progressing in building a cooperative relationship with Toyota City. Toyota City aims to introduce Lean3 by 2025, considering its use as official vehicles, promoting its use in tourist areas within the city, and exploring support measures for introducing it to citizens.

Furthermore, we plan to advance multifaceted collaborations to promote the consideration of introducing Lean3 as a commuter vehicle for businesses and organizations within Toyota City. Such cooperation with progressive local governments provides an important opportunity to demonstrate the practicality and social significance of Lean3.
